Logging Your First Workout

How to select exercises, track sets, and complete a session from start to finish.

Getting started with STRV takes less than two minutes. Here’s everything you need to know.

Starting a Session

  1. Open STRV and tap the ”+” button on the home screen
  2. Choose Blank Session to build freely, or pick a Template you’ve saved
  3. The session timer starts automatically

Adding Exercises

Tap Add Exercise and search by name, muscle group, or equipment type. STRV will show the exercise photo, primary muscles, and your personal best to give you context before you even start.

Logging Sets

For each exercise, tap Log Set. Enter your weight and reps, then tap Done. STRV fills in the previous session’s values as a starting point — so you only change what’s different.

If you break a personal record, a coral PR badge appears on the set automatically.

Rest Timer

After each set, the rest timer starts in the background. If you have an iPhone 14 Pro or later, your timer shows in the Dynamic Island so you can lock your phone and still see it.

Finishing a Session

Tap Finish when you’re done. STRV will show you a session summary with total volume, sets completed, and any new personal records. Your data syncs to iCloud instantly.
